I started my career in the restoration industry over 14 years ago with a simple understanding of cleaning and a strong drive to learn. I began as an entry-level technician and steadily built my knowledge through hands-on experience and IICRC training, working across all sides of the restoration industry—including trauma clean-up, construction, mold & asbestos, water damage & fire damage restoration, and a specialized focus in contents restoration and management.

Over the years, I worked with multiple restoration companies and franchises across Edmonton, Calgary, and Regina. These roles gave me experience both in the field and in office environments, shaping a clear understanding of project coordination, timelines, and the expectations of clients at every stage of a job.

Alongside this work, I launched and grew two cleaning companies in Edmonton and Calgary. What began as supplemental work quickly became an area where I not only excelled, but truly enjoyed—particularly the customer service side of the business. That experience made it clear that professional cleaning, done properly, plays a critical role in keeping projects moving smoothly and in shaping the overall client experience.

Slate was created to bring all of that experience together. Today, my focus is on delivering clean, efficient, and professional services that support active projects, advocate for client needs, and consistently help turn challenges into positive outcomes.
